Courtyard cut Gengar’s Game Night 3 by a third on October 21, 2026, 4.5 hours after listing it. The Pokémon pack launched at $150 and now costs $100. Its expected value dropped from $144 to $96 in the same update.

MyCardRips logged the launch at 16:53 UTC on October 21, 2026. The repricing followed at 21:25 UTC the same day. Courtyard’s live listings carry no note explaining the change.

The cut keeps Courtyard’s usual ratio. Expected value is 96.0% of price both before and after the change, read from Courtyard’s listings on October 21, 2026. A $50 drop in price removed $48 of expected value.

What it changes for your next rip

The new $100 price sets a lower bar for a profitable pull. A card worth $100 or more now lands on 24.7% of rips. That figure sums the uncommon, rare and chase buckets in Courtyard’s odds table dated October 22, 2026.

The floor moved with the price. Courtyard lists a minimum card value of $50 as of October 22, 2026, or half the new price. The chase bucket spans $400 to $8,000 at 0.7% odds, so the top card is worth 80 times the pack.

Buyers who ripped at $150 hold cards priced against a pack that no longer exists. Courtyard’s buy-back offer is 84.6% of its own market estimate on Gengar’s Game Night 3, read on October 22, 2026. That offer attaches to the card, not the pack price.

Demand arrived anyway. Courtyard’s pull counter shows 2,505 rips of the pack in the 24 hours to 03:55 UTC on October 22, 2026. Its cheaper siblings drew more. Game Night 1 at $35 logged 6,782 pulls. Game Night 2 at $75 logged 3,264 over the same window.

The price ladder across the series now reads $35, $75 and $100. Courtyard’s listings of October 22, 2026 show expected value at 96.0% of price on all three. The Master tier pack therefore costs less than the original $150 sticker and pays the same share back on average.

A second limited drop, same week

Courtyard also opened a Basketball Opening Week pack at 21:24 UTC on October 20, 2026. It costs $65 with an expected value of $62.40. TheLines.com covered the launch on October 21, 2026. Its headline led with a “$30K 1985 Air Jordans” bounty.

That pack logged 2,648 pulls in the 24 hours to 03:55 UTC on October 22, 2026. A card worth $65 or more appears on 21.1% of rips, per Courtyard’s odds table of the same date. The chase bucket tops out at $1,040 at 0.1% odds.

Both packs show the same pattern. Courtyard lists limited drops at one price and adjusts within hours when the numbers do not hold. Early buyers carry the risk of that adjustment, and later buyers get the corrected price.
