Card rip casinos
These apps open packs that look exactly like the ones we rate, and then pay the sell-back into something that is not money. 2 of the 4 here pay in credit or Gems their own terms say cannot be cashed out. They are listed so that comparison can be made plainly, not because we recommend them.

Can you cash out?
The only question that matters on this page, answered from each app's own terms. The buy-back column is what the app advertises; the cash-out column is what it pays in.
| App | Can you cash out? | Sell-back (stated) | Pack range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boxed.gg | Indirectly Gems never convert to cash, by its own terms. Items can be withdrawn as ETH, but only after an ID check, a phone check, an EVM wallet and Risk team approval. | Gem value (no % published) disputed | — |
| MyPrize Packs | Indirectly In sweepstakes states a sell-back lands in Sweeps Cash, which redeems. Not available in WA. CA, MI and NY use a packs-only USD balance instead. | Instant offer to balance (no % published) disputed | $1–$250 |
| Pullmarket | No Terms state Gems are non-cashable. Sell-back pays 105% of its Market Estimate, in Gems. | 105% of Market Estimate in Gems disputed | $24.99–$999.99 |
| OpenThatPack | No Sell-back pays site credit, which can expire. No published percentage. | OTP-set price in site credit | From $5 |
Why these are not in the ranking
A buy-back percentage only means something once you know what it pays in. Pullmarket offers 105% of its own Market Estimate — a higher number than anything on our main ranking — and its terms state those Gems are non-cashable. The only thing that 105% can buy is another pack, and the next pack has its own house edge.
So these apps are not scored against the eight we rate. Our scoring assumes a sell-back becomes money; where it cannot, the pillar does not apply and a score would imply a comparison that is not true. The same reasoning is set out at length in card rips vs casino games.
Sweepstakes and social-casino apps are regulated differently from retail, vary by state, and are 18+ or 21+ depending on where you are. Nothing here is legal or financial advice. If gambling is a problem for you, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
Questions
- Can you win real money from card rip casinos?
- Mostly no. Of the four apps on this page, three pay sell-backs in credit or Gems that their own terms say cannot be cashed out. One redeems indirectly through a sweepstakes balance, in some states only. That is the difference between these and the apps on our main ranking, which pay to a bank.
- Why is a 105% buy-back worse than a 90% one?
- Because of what it pays in. Pullmarket offers 105% of its own Market Estimate and its terms state those Gems are non-cashable, so the only thing the 105% buys is more packs — and the next pack has its own house edge, which takes it straight back. A 90% buy-back paid to a bank is money. See card rips vs casino games.
- Do you rate these apps?
- No. They are outside the scope of our scoring, which covers traditional card-rip apps that ship or cash out real graded cards. They are listed here so the comparison can be made honestly, not ranked.
