Catena Media invests in Repackz parent Collectbase

Catena Media invested in Collectbase, the Repackz parent, in a deal reported October 21, 2026. For rip buyers, it shows affiliate money entering the category. Repackz can now reach more operator apps.

Finwire reported the deal through Placera on October 21, 2026. It is the first investment made through Catena Growth Ventures, the group’s program for fast-growing digital companies. Gaming Intelligence and EGR Intel covered it on October 26, 2026. None of the coverage MyCardRips read discloses the amount or the stake.

What Catena is buying into

Catena’s release calls Repackz a B2B platform. Per the text quoted by Gaming Intelligence, it lets operators, brands and publishers offer white-label pack-ripping of real-value collectibles. The same coverage says the collaboration also covers Collectibles.com, the consumer app where Repackz packs are sold. Catena plans to introduce Repackz to operators and publishers in its network.

EGR Intel framed the deal as a first tranche of capital. It noted Peter Thiel previously backed the company. MyCardRips’ research file records a $5 million seed round led by Blockchange Ventures, per a December 12, 2025 article.

Intergame Online described the move as an acquisition. Catena’s release calls it an investment. MyCardRips follows the release wording.

What Repackz sells today

MyCardRips tracks Repackz as a cash app under review, not a rated app. Its Help Center, read on October 26, 2026, lists pack tiers of $25, $50 and $100. It states a buy-back of 90% of fair market value, minus a 6% restocking fee, within 7 days. That nets 84% of fair market value.

Courtyard’s own buy-back offer averaged 84.6% of its market estimate in the MyCardRips capture of October 15, 2026. The two published rates sit within one percentage point of each other. Repackz publishes its rate in the Help Center. Its Terms state no number and say the company alone sets the valuation model.

Repackz pays out through ACH and USDC rails, per its Help Center on October 26, 2026. Withdrawals unlock after four paid purchases. Its two official articles disagree on the daily withdrawal cap, at $500 and $10,000.

What it changes for your next rip

The investment changes who distributes Repackz, not what a pack pays. Nothing in the October 21 report alters a price, an odds table or the 84% net buy-back. Any change to those terms would show up in the Help Center first.

The practical shift is reach. If Catena places Repackz inside operator and publisher apps, the same packs may be sold under other brands. Check which company holds your balance and sets the buy-back before depositing.

Repackz’s Help Center calls the product an odds-based game of chance, and its Terms refer to official rules. MyCardRips keeps it outside the rated list until odds are independently checked.
