Underdog Rips

Underdog Rips is a digital card-pack feature inside the Underdog DFS app, with physical cards sourced, vaulted and shipped by Phygitals. Its help center states sell-back at 100% of fair market value, but cards left unclaimed are auto-sold after three days.

Does Underdog Rips pay what the card is worth?

Underdog Rips states a sell-back of 100% of fair market value (FMV), the value the app assigns at reveal. A buy-back is the app’s offer to purchase your pulled card. The help center, checked October 29, 2026, says the offer holds for 3 days and never drops.

The headline cannot tell you whether Underdog’s FMV matches what the card sells for. A 100% offer on a generous valuation beats a 100% offer on a low one. That gap is what MyCardRips measures, card by card.

We have not measured it yet. Measuring needs cards Underdog valued in-app, matched to sold comps on five points: set, number, language, grader, and grade. No such comps were captured for this update. Until they are, read the 100% as Underdog’s own claim, not a MyCardRips result.

Underdog names its pricing inputs, which most apps skip. The help center says FMV blends Alt, CardLadder, and an in-house model built on recent comparable sales. Rips Terms §7 adds that FMV data comes “as is” from third-party sources.

Each pack holds one card: either an authenticated raw card or a slab. A slab is a graded card sealed in a tamper-evident case. The help center names PSA, BGS, CGC, and SGC as the graders.

Prices come from Underdog’s Pack Tiers help article, read October 29, 2026. Every odds cell is a dash because no in-app odds screenshots were captured for this update. Chance of breaking even is the combined odds of every value band whose floor meets the pack price, as our odds guide explains. We fill this table from the app’s own stated figures once we capture them.

Our verdict on Underdog Rips

Underdog Rips is the card-rip app for people who already hold an Underdog balance. It has the paperwork a collector should want: dated Terms, named graders, and a named valuation source. It lacks the data we rate on: captured odds and a measured buy-back.

How ripping works on Underdog Rips

Underdog Rips sits inside the Underdog mobile app, under a Rips tab or the Games tab. You pick a pack, open it, and an RNG picks one card from that pack’s lineup. Rips Terms §3 says the odds of a card or tier are disclosed before purchase.

After the reveal, the card lands in “My card stash”. You then ship it, hold it, or sell it back. All three choices run against the same 3-day clock.

Pack tiers, odds, and value

Sports packs come at 5 prices, from $5 to $2,500. Pokémon packs come at 6 prices, from $5 to $5,000. The help center states each card has a set probability, but we have not captured those odds.

Underdog does not publish odds outside the app. Max pull is the app’s stated ceiling for a pack, and we have not captured one yet. Treat any big chase card you see as one outcome, not an expectation.

Payments, buy-back, and withdrawals

Rips packs take withdrawable funds only. The help center states that bonus funds cannot be used on Rips. The App Store listing names Apple Pay, Amex, Visa, Mastercard, bank deposit, and PayPal for deposits.

A sell-back credits your Underdog balance at the FMV shown at reveal. Withdrawals are free with a $10 minimum, per Underdog’s help center. Underdog’s own documents disagree on speed, which we cover below.

Is Underdog Rips legit?

Yes. Underdog Rips is a real product from Underdog, with published Terms and vaulted physical cards. Phygitals, an independent partner, sources and stores each card, per Rips Terms §1. MyCardRips has not funded a test account yet, so no score is published.

Underdog’s Fantasy Terms §5(iii) ask for your mailing address, date of birth, and Social Security number. Rips Terms §5 makes shipping subject to identity verification. KYC means know your customer, the identity check an app runs before it moves money or cards.

The minimum age is 18, or 19 or 21 where a state sets it, per Rips Terms §8. That age is Underdog’s eligibility rule, not a legal ruling. Rips Terms §10 makes you responsible for checking that a purchase is lawful where you are.

The seller on the App Store is Underdog Sports, Inc., first listed in 2020. Underdog positions Rips for entertainment and collection purposes, per Rips Terms §3.

Who Underdog Rips is best for

  • Underdog players who want a card from the same balance they already use.
  • Pokémon collectors who want a single-card pack priced up to $5,000.
  • Buyers who will decide within 3 days and want a stated 100% FMV sell-back.
  • It is the wrong app if you want to keep cards stored for weeks. Rips by Triumph runs a 7-day buy-back window, and its review shows a measured buy-back.

Underdog Rips sells your card back after 3 days

Underdog Rips stores a pulled card for at most 3 days, per Rips Terms §4. After that, the card is deemed sold back at the FMV set when you opened the pack. Underdog says it will try to send a push notice at least 24 hours before.

One line in Underdog’s own help center still says 1 week. The value article calls the reveal price the value used “during the 1 week offer period”. The same article says the offer holds 3 days. The Terms control for Rips, per Rips Terms §1, so we treat 3 days as the rule.

This cuts both ways. The clock locks your sell-back price, so a falling market cannot shrink it. It also means a card you forget becomes cash, not a slab on your shelf.

Bonus funds cannot buy Underdog Rips packs

Underdog’s help center states you can only use withdrawable funds on Rips. Any deposit-match bonus you hold will not open a pack. That matters if you sign up through a bonus offer expecting to spend it on cards.

Underdog’s own Rips offer is a referral reward. A new user who signs up with a referral code may receive a free $5 Rips pack. The help center says that pack is worth up to $150, the app’s stated ceiling for it.

Sales tax lands when you ship, not when you rip

Underdog collects no sales tax when you buy or open a pack, per Rips Terms §2. If you ask to ship a card, Underdog charges sales tax based on your delivery address. Shipping goes to US addresses only.

Phygitals, an independent partner, sources, stores, and ships the cards, per Rips Terms §1. The help center lists three vaults with different fulfillment times before transit:

VaultFulfillment before transit
PSA VaultAbout 1 week
Fanatics Vault2 to 7 business days
Alt Vault2 to 7 business days

Shipping fees come from the vault partners, and Underdog adds none of its own. The fee differs by vault, and Underdog publishes no per-card price. A claim that spans two vaults ships as two separate packages.

Underdog’s own documents disagree on withdrawal speed

Underdog’s help center says withdrawals generally process in 24 to 72 hours. Its Fantasy Terms §5(iii) say withdrawals are processed “typically within 10 business days”. Both are Underdog’s own words, so we list the field as a conflict.

The help center adds method detail. Debit card withdrawals typically settle within 24 hours. Trustly withdrawals take 1 to 3 business days. We have not run a payout test on Rips proceeds yet.

What the Rips Terms promise, and what they do not

Underdog Rips Terms version 1.3 took effect on September 29, 2026. They promise disclosed odds, an RNG draw, and a provable fairness record on request. That record includes a server seed hash, a client seed, and the algorithm.

The Terms also limit what you can recover. All purchases are final. Refunds cover errors such as a counterfeit, misgraded, or duplicate-charge case, requested within 30 days. Each company’s liability for a Rip is capped at the price you paid for that pack.

Data confidence

Data confidence: Medium overall. Flags:

  • Max pull has no app-stated ceiling yet, in any table.
  • Pays vs market and fairness stay blank until buy-back is measured.
  • Break even and every odds cell wait on captured odds.
  • Cards catalogued is not yet counted.
  • Buy-back window is labeled CONFLICT.
  • Withdraw speed is labeled CONFLICT.
  • KYC provider is not named by Underdog.

Values are researched from official sources first. Anything we could not verify is shown as a dash rather than guessed. Figures we found in conflict are labeled rather than picked. See how MyCardRips rates apps for the method.

Corrections. The October 26, 2026 version listed a $65,000 max pull that no Underdog page we found states. That figure came from a third-party review, not from Underdog. We have withdrawn it and show a dash until we capture the app’s stated ceiling. The earlier version also sourced withdrawal speed and state ages to third-party sites. Both now come from Underdog’s own Terms, help center, and App Store listing.

Ratings and standing

Underdog’s iOS app, now named “Underdog: Sports, Games & Rips”, rates 4.8 on 329,773 App Store ratings. The Android app rates 4.7 on 35.2K Google Play reviews. Both were checked October 29, 2026, and both cover every Underdog product, not Rips alone.
